Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Learning To Fly
This song was the first track on a mix CD I made for my first road trip in college. We went to Bradley University in Peoria, IL to visit the Sigma Nu chapter there, and I have never had a better road trip in my life. It was the most memorable three days of my freshman year. Here are some of the reasons why:
1. There was a pirate ship. (Not Kidding.)
2. People were jumping off of the roof into said pirate ship.
3. The entire living room was lined with 30 packs of Keystone ICE.
4. Seven, Eleven, Doubles. (Ask, and you shall be enlightened.)
5. Josh Gordan slept in the boiler room next to a water heater to stay warm.
6. All of us had amazing nicknames: Rocky, Butch, JG, Gutberg, & Scuba Steve.
I miss those days.
